When your Apple ID is disabled, you will get a notification, which will be slightly different based on the actual situation. The messages can be any of the below.

  • This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons
  • You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons

Step 1. Go to the site iforgot.apple.com from a browser on a desktop or iPhone.

Method 2. Reset Apple ID Using a Recovery Key 

Another way to reset your Apple ID password is to use the recovery key if you have generated one. To use a recovery key to reset your Apple ID password, you need to remember your recovery key and have access to a trusted device.
