By changing the location on iPhone/iPad, you'll be able to do things like get more matches on dating apps, watch the newest movies that are not yet available in your region, trick your friends with fake locations, or play location-based games like Pokémon GO, etc. Whatever you want to do with your spoofed location, this guide will explain how to do it.
Important Notice: After changing the location, your spoofed address will be automatically updated to all services and apps include those using your actual location such as the map and weather app. If you want to use these services and apps, you'd better turn off the location spoofer.
In the following guide, we will introduce four useful tips to change your location on iPhone or iPad. Each has its strengthens and weaknesses. Depending on your needs, apply any one of them to change the GPS location on the iPhone.
For some reasons, the App Store may present you with very few choices of spoofing apps. If you want to have more options, you can jailbreak your device and use the Cydia app, a non-official app store that provides many applications for jailbroken iOS devices, to download more spoof apps.
But note that jailbreaking is firmly opposed by Apple, mainly because Apple wants to protect its commercial interests, so you may encounter many difficulties while jailbreaking your device.
If you just want to trick a location-based app like Pokémon GO or some dating apps, a spoof location app is enough. There are many such apps in the App Store, you can search for one by inputting some keywords like "Spoof location" "Fake Address" or "Change Location" in the search box, then it will show you some options. Pick the highest-rated one that can satisfy your needs.
If you neither find any workable spoofing apps nor want to jailbreak your iPhone, consider using some desktop-based software like EaseUS MobiAnyGo, a tool specifically designed to fake iOS devices' locations. By using this tool, you can do a lot of things like:
Sounds interesting? Now, you can have this program installed on your computer and start spoofing your location.
Step 1. Connect your iOS device to your computer and launch EaseUS MobiAnyGo. Next, agree to its terms and click "Start" to continue. Note: Before you proceed, remember to stop all location-based apps running on the background.
Step 2. Unlock your device and "Trust" this computer. Then, it will start the loading process.
Step 3. After the loading process is completed, you'll get a map-like interface. You can choose the "Two-spot Mode" from the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 4. From this page, you can look for your desired locations on the search bar or adjust the pin to the place you wish to transport to. Plus, you can also adjust the speed and repeat times you wish to move between two places. Once you've done, click the "Move" button.
It's necessary to change your country information associated with your Apple ID when you plan to move or travel to a different country. This can ensure all services on your device are available in the new country. Before devoting yourself to deal with this task, here are some things that should be done.
If everything goes smoothly, then you can follow the steps to change your country on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 1. Go to Settings and tap your profile.
Step 2. Tap iTunes & App Store.
Step 3. Tap on your Apple ID and select View Apple ID.
Step 4. Tap on Country/Region, and then tap Change Country or Region.
Step 5. Select your new country or region.
Step 6. Agree with the Terms & Conditions.
Step 7. Input your new payment method and billing address, then tap Next.
The significant locations list shows all the route history of your exact whereabouts in every location you've been. If you don't want to share this private information with Apple, then you can change the Significant Locations saved on your device by following the below steps.
Step 1. Open your Settings app.
Step 2. Scroll down to find "Privacy," then tap "Location Services."
Step 3. Tap "System Services" at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4. Then, select "Significant Locations."
Step 5. This requires you to enter your touch ID or Face ID to view Significant Locations.
Step 6. You can clear your history by tapping "Clear History" at the bottom of the screen or delete an individual location entry by tapping the minus (-). If you want to turn off Significant Locations, you can toggle the switch next to it from On to Off.
Note: Once you delete your location history, you won't be able to see your significant stored locations.
Now you may have known how to change the location on your iPhone. Whether you want to make friends on dating apps or play location-based games, you can fake your locations with tips offered in this guide. But note that spoofing locations on some apps, especially a game app, is not permitted. Once you're discovered, your account might be blocked by the game developer. So, think twice before applying any methods to play a game.
