OneDrive may take up so much space on the iPhone due to the large number of files, syncing feature, and cached data.

1️⃣When you turn on OneDrive's file sync feature, it will download files from the cloud storage to your iPhone for offline access. If you store many files in OneDrive, these files will take up local storage space on your device.

2️⃣If you set OneDrive to back up your iPhone photos automatically, each photo you take will be uploaded and stored in OneDrive. A copy may be kept on the device by default, which will take up additional space.

3️⃣The OneDrive app and the cached data generated during operation may also take up some space. These cached data include temporary files and downloaded files when the application is running.

4️⃣When using the OneDrive application to browse or edit files, you may inadvertently download files to your local computer, even if you do not actively synchronize all files.

To slove the OneDrive issue, you can choose to sync only the folders or files you need to access offline, or adjust the sync policy to save space. Check the Downloads folder in the OneDrive app regularly and delete local copies that you no longer need. You can also view and clean up the app's cached data in the OneDrive app.
