If I Delete iCloud Photos on PC, Will They Stay on My Phone?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2 TB plan and have about 400 GB of photos and videos in the cloud. I know that if I delete content from my phone, it will be erased from the cloud, but if I delete photos from my PC (running iCloud for Windows), will they stay on my phone, or will they also be gone from the cloud?

The short answer is, 'No, photos will be gone as well from your devices that have enabled iCloud Photos.'

Using iCloud for Windows on your PC, you can delete photos. Once these photos or videos are removed from iCloud, they will also disappear from all devices with iCloud Photos enabled. It's important to note that this deletion is temporary. You have a 30-day window to restore them. After that, they will be permanently removed.

However, things are different if you don't turn on iCloud Photos on your iPhone, which means the photos and videos stay in your physical storage space instead of iCloud. Deleting photos from iCloud on your PC will only remove them from your iCloud account and the connected devices. Your phone will still have the images stored locally on the device unless you manually delete them.

To keep your important photos safe, it is recommended that you transfer photos from your iPhone to an external hard drive or USB. This will help prevent accidental deletion. Additionally, consider storing your photos in another local location so that you don't have to worry about deleting them from iCloud. In this regard, try EaseUS MobiMover. It is a professional data transfer tool that allows you to transfer data across devices and supports one click to export iCloud photos to your computer for backup.

It is easy to transfer photos or videos from iPhone to PC/USB/HDD:

Step 2. Choose Phone to PC mode and select Photos. Customize the location path where to store your pictures.
