My phone hasn't backed up in weeks because my iCloud storage is full. Can I delete the old backup so there's room for a new one?

To delete an iPhone backup from iCloud, follow these steps:

On Your iPhone or iPad

  • Tap on Backups to see a list of device backups associated with your account.

  • Click on Apple ID, then select iCloud.
  • Click Manage next to the iCloud storage bar.
  • Choose Backups from the left sidebar.
