It depends on whether you've enabled Google Photos syncing.

  • If Google Photos sync is enabled, a photo deleted from your iPhone will also be removed from Google Photos.
  • If Google Photos sync is not enabled, eliminating a photo from your iPhone won't affect the photo in your Google Photos account.

You need to check the settings of Google Photos. If you enable Google Photos syncing, it is set up to sync and move the photos on your iPhone automatically. If you want to delete photos from your iPhone but keep them in Google Photos, you can follow the steps.

Step 1. Backup photos: go to Google Photos> Profile > Photo Settings > Back up.

Step 2. After the backup process ends, you can delete photos from your iPhone

Google Photos can back up your photos and videos. However, it has the limit of storage. If your file size surpasses the limit, you need to pay for more storage. So, you can back up your data to another device, like a computer. A professional backup tool, EaseUS MobiMover, is recommended. This software is designated to manage and back up phone data. It can back up 14 types of files from iPhone to computer, including photos, videos, messages, music, notes, and more. The whole backup can be completed in one click and a few seconds.

EaseUS MobiMover can be the best Google Photos alternative. If you have a large number of files to back up, follow the steps to start.

  • Launch EaseUS MobiMover > Choose "Backup Manager" > select the data > One-click backup.
