Recently, I have had this question related to Google Photos on my mind. If I uninstall and reinstall Google Photos, will I lose my photos, or will the photos populate back onto the Google Photos app? Do my photos stay in Google Photos even if I uninstall the app from my phone?
The quick answer is NO.
You won't lose any photos in Google Photos even if you uninstall the app from your phone. Removing apps from your phone is a different process than deleting photos. If you upload your photos to Google Photos before uninstalling the app, all your pictures will stay safe and sound on the cloud, and you can access them after you reinstall the Google Photo app.
There is only one case in which you will find your images on the Android or iPhone disappear: you delete the device copy on your phone to save space. This deletion will not harm the already-uploaded photos, and you still can access them on the Google Photos website, which means your synced photos will stay in Google Photos even when you uninstall Google Photos from mobile devices.
However, if you remove the app, all your new photos will no longer sync to the cloud. In this case, the time you decide to uninstall Google Photos is also the moment to figure out another way to back up your pictures.
EaseUS MobiMover is a multi-functional tool that can transfer photos from iPhone to external hard drive or PC without losing quality for backup. Moreover, considering the specific picture format on iPhone, which is not supported on Windows PC, it can also batch convert HEIC to JPG for Windows users to access iPhone photos.
Using EaseUS MobiMover to back up photos to a PC all at once is easy:
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch EaseUS MobiMover.
Step 2. From the left panel, choose Phone to PC mode, select the category of Pictures, and adjust where you want to store your images.
Step 3. Click Transfer to start the whole process, and after it finishes, you can go to the location to check the transferred images.
