Hello everyone. I have an iPhone 13 mini (15.5) and MBA (macOS Monterey 12.4). For a few weeks now, I have been facing this problem. Whenever I try to AirDrop a file from my iPhone to my Mac, the file stays in the "waiting ...... " state, but never actually sent. After being stuck in this state for a while, when I cancel the transfer, I get a notification on my Mac that the transfer was canceled. My AirDrop is set to "Everyone" on both devices and I'm not sure what the problem is. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you resolve it?
There are some reasons why does AirDrop stuck on waiting:
Try out the solutions below to solve the AirDrop waiting issue accordingly:
1. Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both devices. Please wait for a few seconds and enable them again.
2. Turn off the Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad.
3. Bring the sending and receiving devices closer.
4. Turn off the Do Not Disturb feature on iOS devices.
5. Navigate to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions to remove AirDrop restrictions.
6. Update the iOS version in Settings.
7. Force reboot the sending and receiving devices.
8. Turn off the VPN if you have one turned on.
9. Log out and sign in to iCloud again.
10. Reset network setting: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset Network Settings.
Although AirDrop provides convenience to iOS users, it has some restrictions, too. Apart from AirDrop getting stuck on waiting, you may encounter other AirDrop issues, such as AirDrop not finding anyone and being unable to airdrop multiple photos.
For a reliable alternative to AirDrop, we recommend EaseUS MobiMover. It is compatible with both iOS and Android operating systems, ensuring the safety of your original files during data transfer.
