Hi, I recently purchased an iPhone 15 Pro Max and have been using it for the last week. Yesterday, I plugged it in to charge using the Apple-provided USB-C charging cable, which would not charge. I'd like to know why I can't charge my iPhone and how to fix this.

There could be several reasons why your iPhone 15 is not charging when plugged in. Here are some possible explanations:
1️⃣Faulty charging cable or adapter: The first thing to check is your charging cable and adapter. Make sure they are not damaged or frayed. Try using a different cable and adapter to see if that solves the issue.
2️⃣Dirty charging port: Your iPhone's charging port may be clogged with dust, lint, or debris, preventing a proper connection with the charger. Try gently cleaning the charging port using a small brush or a can of compressed air.
3️⃣Software issues: Sometimes, software glitches can cause charging problems. Try restarting your iPhone or updating its software to see if that resolves the issue.
4️⃣Battery health: If your iPhone's battery health is low, it may not hold a charge properly. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and consider getting a replacement battery when it reaches 80% (at Apple's suggestion).
5️⃣Hardware damage: If none of the above solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with your iPhone's charging port or battery. In this case, it's best to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
6️⃣Faulty power source: Perhaps a burnt wire or other reasons are preventing your iPhone 15 from charging. Try to change the power source.
Apart from what has been said above, there is one more condition where your iPhone 15 will stop charging.
If your device stopped charging at 80%, you may have turned on 80% Limit on your iPhone 15. When you enable it, your iPhone will charge up to about 80% and stop. Once the battery drops to 75%, it will resume the charging process until it hits 80% again. To fix this problem, just turn off optimized battery charging.
However, turning off charging optimizations can increase wear on your battery and reduce its lifespan.
