My current 512GB iPhone 13 Pro is almost full, which is part of the reason I got the 1TB 14 Pro. I usually back up my iPhone via iTunes and restore the backup file to the new iPhone. Still, I'm considering whether it would be wise to do a phone-to-phone transfer, where data is transferred directly from my old iPhone to the new one over WiFi and Bluetooth. Will it just take days or longer and be problematic? Can I use either phone while they're transferring data?

Quick Start can be your choice to transfer 500 GB of data from your old iPhone to the new 1 TB iPhone 14 Pro. The whole process is estimated to take 4 - 6 hours, according to firsthand experience from forum users. The Quick Start feature is available on iOS 12.4 and supports data transfer between iOS devices directly over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Therefore, you can use this built-in feature to transfer files to your new iPhone or iPad:
Step 1. Ensure you have enabled Bluetooth on both your devices, connected to the same Wi-Fi, and charge your phones.
Step 2. Bring your phones close. Tap Set Up Mannually > Continue to set up your new iPhone 14/15.
Step 3. Use your old iPhone's camera to scan the animation on the new iPhone.
Step 4. When asked, enter the passcode (the one you use on your old iPhone) on your new iPhone.
Step 5. Then, your device will ask you how you want to transfer your data. Choose Transfer from iPhone.
