Jean updated on May 27, 2024 to iOS Questions and Answers

I bought a new iPad air and want to put the same content on my iPhone and my new iPad. Is there an easy way to keep them always synchronized? Thanks!

You can sync iPhone to iPad wirelessly using iCloud.

Please ensure the iPhone and iPad are signed in with the same Apple ID account and connected to a Wi-Fi network.

On both devices:

  • Go to "Settings" > [your name] > "iCloud".
  • You can toggle between categories and content you want to sync, such as Photos, Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders.
  • To sync passwords, go to "Settings" > "Passwords & Accounts". Ensure the email accounts are set up the same on your iPhone and iPad.
  • To sync purchased items, go to "Settings" > " Apple Store" or "iTunes & App Store". Toggle on Music, Apps, Books & Audiobooks, and Updates to your needs.

Syncing iPhone and iPad with iCloud is easy, but iCloud has limitations. iCloud storage space is limited, and only 5 GB is free. Moreover, many users report encountering the iCloud sync stuck issue. In this case, you are suggested to use EaseUS MobiMover.

It is a versatile tool that syncs all types of data, including apps, photos, videos, messages, and contacts, between iOS devices, Android devices, PCs, and Macs. With just one click, you can transfer files from iPhone to iPad without relying on iCloud.
