Where Does Airdrop Go on iPhone or Mac (Photos/Videos Included)

Recently, after using Airdrop to transfer files, I was confused about where the received files went on my iPhone. This made it challenging to locate and access the transferred content.

When you receive files via AirDrop on an iPhone to save files, photos, videos, or other content from another Apple device, the location where the files are saved can vary depending on the type of file and the app preferences. The transferred items are usually stored in the appropriate app associated with the file type.

You can access the transferred items in the respective apps or locations on your device after AirDrop files. For example:

• Photos and videos are saved in the Photos app, where they can be found in the Camera Roll or the Recently Added album.
• Contacts are added to the Contacts app.
• Documents, PDFs, or audio files are usually saved to the Files app on your iPhone.
