I used to share iCloud storage with my family. Now I want to cancel Family Sharing. I want to know what happens if I stop using Family Sharing?
If you stop using Family Sharing, there will be changes in family group, access to services and content, devices, and location.
1️⃣Family Group:
Your Apple ID will be removed from the Family Group. You will no longer be part of the Family Group and will no longer have access to any Family Sharing services.
2️⃣Access to Services and Content:
If you use an Apple Music Family Subscription or other similar services through Family Sharing, you will no longer be able to use those services. If you share iCloud storage, you will no longer be able to access the shared portion. You will stop sharing your iTunes, Apple Books, and App Store purchases. You will also no longer be able to access other family members' purchases.
3️⃣Devices and Location:
If you have a device set up through Family Sharing, such as an Apple Watch, you may no longer be able to manage that device. You will stop sharing your location information with other family members.
As you can see, you will lose some services if you turn off Family Sharing. Are you afraid of losing important data on your iPhone? If you have such worries, the best way is to back up your iPhone.
