Slow iPhone 15 Pro Max Data transfer speeds

I recently bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB, and I have a MacBook Pro 16 M1 Pro 1TB. When I transfer data from Finder(Mac) to iPhone or iPhone to MacBook, data transfer speeds are slow, less than 100MB/s. I am wondering why is that so.

The very likely reasons for the slow transfer speed between your iPhone 15 Pro Max and your MacBook are:

  • Data size: Migrating a substantial volume of data can be time-intensive, especially over Wi-Fi.
  • Internet Speed: A slow Wi-Fi can interrupt the process, so opt for a high-quality and stable network.
  • Software Glitches: Some potential software issues in your iPhone 15 may cause the data transfer speed to be too slow.
  • Unworkable Cables: The debris from the charging port or the unworkable cables can affect your transfer speed.

After learning the reasons for the slow transfer speed, there are a few fixes to your problem:

1️⃣Check your cables and clean the charging port. According to Apple, the new Apple Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable supports data transfer up to 10Gb/s. If you seek a faster speed, change your USB cable.

2️⃣Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check whether a new iOS system is available. If there is, update to the latest one, and your issues will be fixed.

3️⃣Change the Wi-Fi connection. Switch to your cellular data or change to another Wi-Fi connection if you transfer over Wi-Fi.

4️⃣Try another way to transfer your data. EaseUS MobiMover is professional iPhone data transfer software that supports data transfer between your iPhone and your Mac computer.
