I switch back and forth between my iPhone and iPad throughout the day. Is there some secret Apple trick to keeping them synchronized? I'm mostly trying to make sure that the apps I use on one device are also installed on the other and that they are logged into the same account.
You can sync apps across Apple devices using iCloud.
Follow the steps to sync apps and data between your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or iPod device:
Step 1. On the source iOS device, go to Settings > tap your name > tap iCloud > tap Show All.
Step 2. Toggle on the apps you want to sync to another device.
Step 3. On the target iOS device, sign in with the same Apple ID.
Step 4. Repeat step 1 and step 2 above. All selected apps will be synced to your destination iOS device.
Since iCloud has some limitations, you may be required to upgrade your subscription plan for more iCloud space. In addition, iCloud cannot transfer everything to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, such as ringtones, WhatsApp chats and attachments, and podcasts.
As an efficient and easy app transfer alternative to iCloud, EaseUS MobiMover is your first choice. It allows users to transfer apps from iPhone to iPhone and iPhone to iPad with one click. You can move all data types, including apps, photos, videos, audio, etc. It also supports transferring files across platforms: iOS devices, Android devices, PCs, and Macs.
